Church, Why Bother? What Difference Can It Make?
Hope:
“’For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’” (Jeremiah 29:11 New Living Bible)
Health:
The Bible says God’s words “are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.” (Proverbs 4:22 KJV)
Jesus said he came to “heal the brokenhearted.” (Luke 4:18 KJV)
Happiness:
“Reverence for God gives life, happiness, and protection from harm.” (Proverbs 19:23 Living Bible)
Jesus said, “My purpose is to give life in all its fullness.” (John 10:10 Living Bible)
How can you begin to experience this hope, health and happiness?
First by recognizing your need for the Savior God provided, His very own Son, Jesus, to pay the price for all your sins, past, present, and even future! Next by praying and letting God know that you open your heart to accept Him as your Savior. (Romans 10:9-10)

“And be sure of this - that I am with you always, even to the end of the world." (Matthew 28:20 Living Bible)
Depressed?
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the suffering and afflicted. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to announce liberty to captives, and to open the eyes of the blind. He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of God's favor to them has come...To all who mourn He will give: beauty for ashes; joy instead of mourning; praise instead of heaviness.” (Isaiah 61:1-3)
Hopeless?
“For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11 New Living Bible)

“And He [God] knows the number of hairs on your head!” (Luke 12:7 TLB)

If God Is So Good, Why…?
Why are things so bad?
God blessed humanity with a free will, the ability to make choices. Unfortunately many have made choices that harm others. (Deuteronomy 30:19)
“When Adam sinned, sin entered the entire human race. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned.” (Romans 5:12 New Living Bible)
The Bible also tells us that the devil roams the earth “like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour;” that he comes to steal, kill and destroy. (John 10:10, 1 Peter 5:8)
Why doesn’t God do something about it?
HE HAS! "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” (John 3:16-17 NIV)
“The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” (John 10:10 Amplified Bible)
God Wants To Turn The Bad In Your Life Around Into Good!
“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” (Genesis 50:20 NIV)
This begins by recognizing your need for the Savior God provided, His Son, Jesus, to pay the price for all your sins, past, present, and even future! Next by praying and letting God know that you open your heart to accept Him as your Savior. (Romans 10:9-10)

What Is A Savior And Why Do I Need One?
Webster’s Dictionary defines a savior as “one who saves from danger or destruction; one who brings salvation; specifically Jesus.”
Why Do I Need A Savior?
“When Adam sinned, sin entered the entire human race. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned.” (Romans 5:12 New Living Bible)
“For all have sinned; all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” (Romans 3:23 New Living Bible)
How Do I Get A Savior?
First by recognizing your need for the Savior God provided, His very own Son, Jesus, to pay the price for all your sins, past, present, and even future! Next by praying and letting God know that you open your heart to accept Him as your Savior. (Romans 10:9-10)
“There is salvation in no one else! There is no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to save them.” (Acts 4:12 New Living Bible)

How do I “get saved” and become a Christian?
You are not here by accident. Jesus loves you, and He wants you to have a personal relationship with Him. There is just one thing that separates you from God. That one thing is sin.
People tend to divide themselves into groups - good people and bad people. But God says that every person that has ever lived is a sinner, and any sin separates us from God. That includes you and me. "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)
According to man's rules, people should be punished or rewarded according to how good they are, and it might be hard for you to understand how Jesus could love you when other people don't seem to. But I have great news for you! Jesus DOES love you! More than you can ever imagine! And there's nothing you can do to make him stop!
Are you thinking that you should make things right in your life before you come to Jesus? Many people feel that way, but that's not what God says!
"God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
For you to come to God you have to get rid of your sin problem. But God says that you can't make yourself right with God by being a better person. God wants to save you JUST BECAUSE HE LOVES YOU! "He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy." (Titus 3:5)
It's God's grace, His enablement that allows you to come to Him - not your efforts to "clean up your life" or work your way to Heaven. You can't earn it. It's a free gift!
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)
For you to come to God, your sin must be paid for. God's gift to you is His son, Jesus, who paid the debt for you.
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
Jesus paid the price for your sin and mine by giving His life on a cross at Calvary. God brought Jesus back from the dead and paved the way for you to have a personal relationship with Him through Jesus.
All that's left for you to do is to accept the gift that Jesus is holding out for you right now.
"If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." (Romans 10:9-10)
God says that if you believe in His son, Jesus, you can live forever with Him in heaven.
"For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
Are you ready to accept the gift of eternal life that Jesus is offering you right now? If it is your sincere desire to ask Jesus to come into your heart as your personal Lord and Savior, then talk to God from your heart and pray the following prayer:

What’s In My Future?
God knows the future
“I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.” (Isaiah 46:10 NIV)
God has a plan for your future, if you want it
“For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11 New Living Bible)
Your past does not have to determine your future!
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” (2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV)
“It is only the Lord's mercies that have kept us from complete destruction. Great is his faithfulness; his loving-kindness begins afresh each day.” (Lamentations 3:22-23 Living Bible)
How do I tap into God’s plan for my future?
It begins by recognizing your need for the Savior God provided, His Son, Jesus, to pay the price for all your sins, past, present, and even future! Next by praying and letting God know that you open your heart to accept Him as you Savior. (Romans 10:9-10)
